The company was established in 2005 and represents the experience of Gorgoni's family
Which started in the sixties when Giuseppe Gorgoni took the first steps as shipping agent and customs house broker in Brindisi port.
Since the beginning, Gorgoni srl offers professional and qualified logistics and customs house broker services for the un logistics base in Brindisi .
Thanks to the positive feedback, the company has become official vendor of UN NEW YORK for contracts up to 3 milions usd for all the missions in the world ( FUN,NY,UNHRD,WFP,UNPD, MINUSMA, MINUSCA, UNDOF and other smaller missions in terms of dimensions and budget).
Starting from 2010 became more intense and consolidated the relations with Turkish hauliers for transportation from Lecce to Turkey, with final delivery to Ankara and Sakarya. Order to reduce the transit time, we have convinced the Turkish hauliers to load their trucks from Brindisi port. For this reason, we managed to arrange the transit formalities up to the Turkish customs office using our own customs guarantee.
Furthermore, on behalf of unhrd-wfp and the Italian ministry of foreign affairs, we have arranged transports of humanitarian aids from Brindisi to Gaziantep and up to the Syrian border, respecting the short delivery terms requested by the humanitarian emergency.
Gorgoni has a qualified team with multi-year experience in shipping and logistics, for import/export of goods by trucks, containers or full loaded vessels.
From 2017, we arrange import customs formalities on behalf of REWE group, which is part of penny franchise, all over Italy and delivery of the goods to the final destinations too.
As ships’ agent, we represent the owners of general cargo vessels (Shell, Cosco Bulk, Nordens, etc.), full container vessels, oil tankers, gas tankers and we coordinate all port services during the commercial operations and the vessel stay at Brindisi port.
From 2018, we are the port agent of MSC crociere which call Brindisi port every week from march to October with m/v ‘’MSC Musica’’. In the last 5 years, Gorgoni srl grow commercially and has increased its staff from 3 to 8 units. The selection and training of the staff have requested a big care since it is very difficult to find qualified figures in our sector/branch.
